We’re thrilled to welcome another new business to Springburn Shopping! Fab Floors is based within the centre and is owned by Robert and managed by his sister, Lisa. A special mention to dad, Bert, who’s also part of the business and helps out regularly. With a wide range of flooring and options to choose from, we were excited to talk with Lisa to find out more!
Q. Welcome to Springburn Shopping! You opened on the 8th July – how has the first month been?
Ans. We’ve loved being part of the centre and it was always our intention to move into Springburn as we know the local area and many of the people too. We had initially planned to open 2 years ago, before Covid-19 so we were delayed, but delighted to finally be open. It took 5 weeks to turnaround the shop to be ready and we’re pleased with the end result.
Q. How has the business been received in the community?
Ans. I have to say, the support from local residents is fantastic! We’ve had lots of people drop in and wish us well and it’s been really busy with new orders. Robert is the fitter and business owner, so he’s out day and night measuring and fitting, so it’s great to be welcomed in the area. Also, the centre management and other business owners have been really encouraging and positive. Anything we’ve needed, they’ve been there to chat. The centre really has a community feel about it.
Q. What’s the process for anyone planning to re-floor their property?
Ans. We have all of our flooring options available to see and touch in our shop, so people can come in and select a carpet, laminate or vinyl that they love. Afterwards, we’ll visit the property and measure up, then schedule a convenient time to lay the flooring. It’s definitely worthwhile visiting the shop first to get an idea of the range of options.
Q. Do you have a popular range of flooring?
Ans. We have over 100 different samples of flooring as well as luxury vinyl, carpets and laminate. The most popular options at present are the grey flooring and herringbone, but others are in high demand too. We also measure and fit for pubs and restaurants (among other businesses or charities) and the Prestige Oak is perfect for commercial businesses.
Q. Do you have any offers on at present?
Ans. Definitely! Every customer selecting a floor from Fab Floors receives free measurement, underlay and beading. We also offer free delivery too. Our intention is to start competitions later in the year that will include discounts and free prizes!
